PCRI Research Grant Guidelines
- Applicants must be nominated by the directors of their cancer centers in the United States. Only one applicant from each institution may apply.
- Applicants are welcome to collaborate with one or more research institutions in Italy or other parts of Europe; viable partner institutions may hail from any country in the European Union.
Applications should include the cover sheet, a short project narrative, a project summary in lay language that is suitable for public use, the annual budget (no more than $225,000 and a maximum of 20 percent in indirect costs), and a budget narrative. The application in its entirety should not exceed five pages, excluding the cover sheet.
All applications are due on or before April 1, 2010. The selection process will be completed by AICF’s Scientific Advisory Board Executive Committee, in consultation with a select group of world-class pancreatic cancer experts.
All grant applicants will be notified on or before June 30, 2010. The grant award(s) will be paid in two installments—September 1, 2010 and March 1, 2011—for the grant period of September 1, 2010 through August 31, 2011.
Grants will be awarded each year for a one-year duration that begins on September 1. Assuming that progress is satisfactory and that there is continued need, grants may be renewed for at least a second year.
